Day Seven!

Day seven:
The seventh day was excursion day! Sadly whale watching got cancled. I was so excited but we went to a huge market instead and I ended up having a really good time shopping with my friends. We went back to the rocks for lunch and then headed to go do the bridge climb! Once again I was so excited I could hardly contain it. Once everyone was geared up we started our decent. While on the bridge we actually learned some cool things about when it was being built. I was not scared at all, in fact I kept looking over the edge to see how high up we were. The experience was incredible and I hope to do it again someday. After the bridge climb we walked to the harbor to see the lights show. It was so beautiful. The Opera house was lit up with beautiful colors and patterns I was in complete awe. After the lights show we headed back to the hotel where we split up into groups and went out to dinner. I got some of the most amazing thai food I have ever had.
Daily Journal
Prompt: Traveling thus far!
Response: So far all of this travel has been completely insane. There is no other way to describe it. There have been amazing highlights and many irritants but I have loved every second this far. The entire time I was in New Zealand all I could think about was the fact that I wanted to live there someday. The culture that we were surrounded by, I don’t know, I was/am just so addicted to it. The Maori village was beautiful and the duck tour was amazing. Australia started a bit rocky but I’ve come to adore this place. The Sydney Opera House was the most beautiful building that I have ever seen. I have always wanted to see it. Not only because of the beauty but because I have a strong love for music. Seeing a musical icon was incredibly inspiring. I guess these countries really just made me realize how much I want to travel in the future. Part of this traveling experience that I dislike is the size of our group. Everyone sorta wants attention and with so many they have to fight for it, which, makes us an incredibly noisy group. That and kids are constantly talking and I feel like that takes away from my trip because there are things that I would like to hear Alec say about things we need to hear from the teachers. And when I can’t hear those instructions it makes my trip difficult. So I definitely like smaller groups. The world is beautiful and amazing, I want to be able to embrace as much as possible.
